Hart found out he was Roger's son after Rog stole his grandfather's farm. Since then, the two have had an on-again off-again relationship. They are now friends, but not too long ago, the imposter Hart complete with Brooklyn accent gaslighted Rog with the Whinah, whom he professes to be in love with. He also patronizingly told Bridget that he never loved her, doesn't love her and will never love her. Hart then moved on with his life with Dinah, trying to get the little &*^%@ to start a family with him. But Dinah doesn't want kids and secretly took birth control pills to sabotage their chances. Hart has also been helping out Cassie in her attempts to get her kid back, much to Dinah's chagrin. As Dinah kept becoming more and more of a bitch, Hart kept growing closer and closer to Cassie, until he eventually left Dinah at the altar for Cassie. The two made love for the first time, but their relationship hit the skids when Cassie refused to explain the Reva Clone situation to Hart, making him think that Cassie and Josh were sweating up the sheets. He turned to Dinah for comfort. |

US actor Sean McDermott's latest role is tragic hero Tony in the big-scale production of "West Side Story" playing at Sydney's Capitol Theater. In 1993, he was putting on a much less sympathetic face as womanising businessman Hart Jessup in the US daytime soap "Guiding Light". Yet the (then) 31-year-old actor says the two characters have a lot in common: "They're both hopeless romantics, doomed to tragedy, causing mayhen everywhere, but doing what they thought was right." In fact, the major difference is in their long-term appeal to McDermott. Just six months after he joined "Guiding Light," his character lost his business and was run out of town. And McDermott was not unhappy. "It was fun, but pretty mindless stuff," he says. "I didn't want to stick it out for years." |
